Google Translate now supports 51 languages and 2550 language pairs, including all 23 official EU languages (They are: Bulgarian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, Estonian, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Hungarian, Irish, Italian, Latvian, Lithuanian, Maltese, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Slovak, Slovene, Spanish and Swedish).
The translation quality of these newest languages is still a little rough, but this will improve with time and google continuously working to improve quality for all languages supported by Google Translate. Google also working to integrate this into their products, as you can translate emails within Gmail, webpages using Google Toolbar, RSS feeds in Google Reader and most recently, documents within Google Docs.
